A short description of early Indian occupation is followed by descriptions of the farms, homes, and other buildings in Monona. There are photos of five farms, four cottages and resorts, seven houses, a bridge, the trolley, an early airport, Monona Drive, and several early school pictures. Included is an essay on the beginning of the village, as recalled by Ernie Ferchland and an essay on Monona Drive, recalled by Glenn Thousand.
