[Fitchburg Bicentennial Calendar] compiled by the Nine Springs Offspring 4-H club (Fitchburg, Wis.) and the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club at Lake Waubesa. Included is a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence, historical photographs of the Fitchburg area with extensive captions, and monthly calendars with annotations of significant historical events. The calendar is spiral bound. Also present is a letter from the compilers about the calendar addressed "Dear friend and neighbor." On the back of this letter are handwritten identifications of the 1898 students at Waubesa Beach School, Town of Dunn [and Fitchburg?] Jt. District #9, who appear in photographs printed at the pages for September and December. |
