History of the Fischer Family. This photocopied typescript recounts the genealogy of the family of Francis Fischer (1827-1879), a Madison (Wis.) physician, 1860-1979. Much of the information is based on church records of the Koenigsbach Parish, Rhein Pfals, Bavaria, Germany. Francis Fischer immigrated to the U.S. inb 1853 and lived in Cross Plains (Wis.) prior to moving to Madison. The documentation contains information about the subsequent generations of the Fischer and related families (Minch, Duppler, and others) in the United States as recalled by the author. Recorded data includes names, birthdates and some death dates, and names of spouses and children. The author points out that the name Muench was changed to Minch after the families moved to the U.S. |
