Arne Gausmann Genealogical Research Papers collected during his research on members of the Gausmann and Ellestad families, settlers in the Town of Cottage Grove and the Town of Blooming Grove, Dane County, Wisconsin in the mid-1800's.

These papers consist of :

1 photocopy of the newspaper article, "Dane County Pioneer Buried Today Leaves 166 Descendants, " January 18, 1909.

1 photocopy of a photograph of Ellestad Family 100 year Reunion, 1848-1948. Arne Gausmann and his wife are in the photograph

2 three-page photocopies of handwritten documents from the Register of Deeds, Dane County. Land transfer from Gausmanns to Hope Lutheran Church, 1845. The articles of incorporation for the church are also included.

1 photocopy of the "Cottage Grove" page from the 1873 Dane County Atlas which shows Hope Lutheran Church

1 photocopy of the "Cottage Grove" page from the 1899 Dane County Atlas which shows Hope Lutheran Church

1 blueprint of Town of Cottage Grove on which the Gausmann farm acreage is noted in pencil. The acreage is adjacent to the land for Hope Lutheran Church. The Hope Lutheran Church land was originally part of the Gausmann property.
