Scope & Content |
The Ellis Potter Materials consist of three different types of material preserved by Ellis Potter of Madison, Wisconsin. Little is known of Mr. Potter except that he lived on Rutledge Street in 1929 and in Shorewood Hills in 1933. The earliest item is a brown leather baby shoe worn by Mr. Potter. Three 1896-1897 published volumes used by him at "Morrison School" are present; they are each part of the Young Folk's Library of Choice Literature and include "Story of the Norsemen," "De Soto," and "Stories of the Pilgrims." Finally, there are 56 Christmas cards received by Potter between 1929 and 1933. |
