Scope & Content The Madison Savoyards Scrapbook contains the records of a Madison, Wisconsin, theater group dedicated to the production of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. Includied is a constitution of the organization, yearly membership rosters, cast lists, programs and posters for performances, clippings, correspondence, newsletters, casting call advertisements, ticket stubs, and a felt pennant from the production of "The Gondoliers."
Admin/Biographical History The Madison Savoyards was formed in 1963 by high school and college students interested in performing Gilbert and Sullivan musical productions. This collection chronicles its creation in 1963 through 1975, although the group is still active as of 2005.
