The Ernest H. Riddle Papers include student bookkeeping volumes completed during a course of study at Northwestern Business College in Madison, Wis. The materials include daybooks, ledgers, journals, balance sheets, cash books, and miscellaneous books. Additionally, there are three volumes (a daybook, journal, and ledger), sample business letters, spelling tests, and a course notebook on zoology apparently written by Berta Riddle (1896-1910). A single bookkeeping volume from 1882 by C.H. Johnson is also included. It is unclear whether or not all of these materials were from courses at the Northwestern Business College.
