Scope & Content The Richard Sandsmark Materials consist of business cards, postcards, calendars, pamphlets, and a matchbook containing advertisements for businesses located mainly on the east side of Madison, Wisconsin, from 1950 to 1980. Among the pamphlets are several for special events, such as the Sun Prairie Corn Festival in 1969, and the City of Madison's Memorial Day Program in 1979. The collection also contains Sandsmark's personal copy of "Tower Guide: A Student Handbook of East Senior High School," which he used as a student in 1941-1945, and several personal photographs.
