Scope & Content Dane County Hospital and Home Research Materials compiled between 1985 and 2004. Included are newspaper and website articles, 2003-2004; items from the 1993 dedication of a monument at the original cemetery grounds including a 5-page typed manuscript history titled "Dane County Hospital and Home;" a variety of reminiscences about the Home; " 'The Good Old Daze' at Dane County Hospital and Home," featuring memories of employees in 1985; a transcription of cemetery records compiled by Katherine A. Weaver; correspondence relating to the installation of the historic marker; and several 4" x 6" color photographs of the empty building and the stone marker at the cemetery. At various times, the Home served the indigent, the mentally ill, alcoholics, and the elderly.
